On August 21, the Poncey-Highland Planning working group will share its recommendation about the general planning framework that they believe would best serve the neighborhood.

The working group has been meeting regularly for several months, learning about what tools are being used by other neighborhoods in Atlanta and nationally, talking about best practices, and hearing from experts in the field. Based on what they’ve learned, and with guidance from professionals, they’ve also been thinking about how we can best guide growth and change in our neighborhood in a way that preserves our uniqueness, addresses our challenges and weaknesses, and takes full advantage of our potential, as our Master Plan intended.

Doug Young, Director, Urban Design Commission and Assistant Director, Historic Preservation, will join us on August 21 (and at future meetings) as we continue the conversation about how we will develop the tools to protect what makes Poncey-Highland the best place to live in Intown Atlanta!
