Community Meeting #7
Join your neighbors for the next community planning/historic district meeting on January 29th at 7 PM at The Church at Ponce & Highland www.churchatponceandhighland.org. We’ll continue to explore regulations for the proposed Poncey-Highland Historic District and will have a first look suggested regulations based on community input so far. We are working toward DRAFT regulations that will give everyone something in writing to react to in early February.
Can’t make it to meetings? Here’s how to participate!
We know that it can be hard to make it to evening meetings. If you weren't able to make the meeting on the January 9th but would like to provide subarea input, here’s what to do:
Watch video content of Doug Young and Caleb Racicot’s presentations. Video is posted under “latest updates” on the PHNA website. Scroll down for the most recent content. https://www.ponceyhighland.org/phna-updates
If you missed the January 9 meeting, watch the video and then choose EITHER to download and fill out subarea worksheets OR complete a Survey Monkey survey with the same content.
PDF’s of subarea worksheets are here. Email completed sheets to Doug Young, dyoung@atlantaga.gov. You can complete up to 7 sheets since there are 7 subareas. We particularly need additional feedback on the mixed use subareas (3, 4, and 5).
Survey Monkey worksheets are here https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/VJ9SK2S You can take the survey up to 7 times and since there are 7 subareas. Indicate which subarea you are responding to each time. Note: We particularly need feedback on the mixed use subareas (3, 4, and 5).
Data from the PDF sheets and survey monkey will be shared with Doug Young and Caleb Racicot. They’ll use this data, along with data collected at previous community meetings, to begin creating DRAFT regulations that will be shared with the community in DRAFT form for comment and refinement.
You’ll have opportunities to respond to draft regulations in person and through additional online community surveys throughout this process. Your responses are very valuable to the process and will be used to shape the proposed historic district regulations.
Thank you for participating in this planning process. Hope to see you at the meeting on Thursday, January 29th!
