Absentee Ballots & Procedure

Please carefully read and follow the instructions below to submit a valid absentee ballot:
Eligibility: Only RESIDENTS of Poncey Highland (renters and resident homeowners) of age 18 and older are permitted to vote on Z-20-15 (per PHNA Bylaws Section 6.3).
Residents voting by absentee ballot will need to complete the absentee ballot and attach a copy of their driver’s license or state ID. If their ID shows an address outside of Poncey-Highland, they will need to additionally provide one of the following documents that shows a Poncey-Highland address in order to establish proof of residence (per PHNA Bylaws Section 3.5):
Recent utility bill (no older than 1 month)
Another recent bill (no older than 1 month)
Bank statement (no older than 1 month)
Lease or mortgage statement (no older than 1 month)
Absentee ballots, ID, and proof of residency must be provided by email or hard copy to a Board Member between March 6 and by 6 PM on March 18. The Board Member who receives the ballot will fill out the Board Member portion of the ballot and forward the completed ballot to the Secretary. Ballots may be emailed to Board@PonceyHighland.org
Upon receipt of the ballot, the Secretary shall document the vote and will shred or delete copies of ID and proof of residency.
The Secretary will maintain the absentee ballots along with other PHNA records (PHNA Bylaws Section 9.3)
